As highlighted in the book, the Tools and Resources section provides my carefully curated recommendations. Below, you’ll find a list of trusted services and tools that I personally use, rely on, or trust to build and enhance my business and business websites.

1. Business Name Generators

Tools to help brainstorm unique and versatile business names.

Resource: Canva

Canva is all around amazing. I use Canva for almost all my projects. You can easily create your branding, icons, and lots more!

2. Registered Agent Services

Recommendations for services to assist with business registration, particularly in other states or to protect privacy. These service can also help with more than forming the LLC.

3. Domain Name Registrars

There are many Domain Name Registrars out there. These are my favorite places to get my Domain Names. They have great prices and fast DNS propagation.

Typically I try to keep my domains registered with the same company I use hosting services but, it is not required to do that. The main difference is price and if they offer private whois protection for your Domain. Also, some Domain Registrars are faster or slower with their DNS updates. Basically how fast the digital records update with info for where the domain name needs to be directed.

4. Website Hosting Providers

Trusted and affordable hosting services with robust performance and security.

Over the last 20 years I have used many Web Hosting providers and I’ll tell you what… I can really give some “0 star” rating to most. However, Hostinger is my favorite web hosting provider.

5. Brand Building Tools

Free and paid tools for designing logos, icons, and brand imagery.

With Canva you can choose from many designs. There are literally too many things you can easily create at Canva. Logos, icons, graphics, and more. They have a Free plan and Paid plan.

This is a program for Windows that is Free. It has so many tools for editing your images, resizing icons and logos, etc.

Resource: GIMP Image Manipulation – Gimp.org

This is program works on Mac and Windows and is Free. Many tools and options to use for editing images.

6. Legal Policy Generators

A must have for any website no matter what type of website you operate.

You can easily generate policies with this website.

Resource: ChatGPT

I personally use ChatGPT. Be sure to tell it to ask you the legal questions that are required for the policy you are making.

7. Business Bank Accounts

There many Banks to pick from when opening a Business Account. You will have to compare all options.

Quickbooks offers tons of tools and the ability to use their accounting tools with your account.

8. Secured Business Credit Cards

When you start your business you are going to want to start building business credit.

Check out all the offers that nerdwallet puts together for secured business credit cards.

9. Net-30 Vendor Accounts

These are typically the easiest Tradeline accounts you can get when starting a business. There are many but here are the most popular.

10. Business Phone Solutions

Not all Phone numbers are created equal. Some providers have lots of features and some very basic. I prefer one that allows you to edit your Caller ID to your business name.
